Polysaccharide is compose of repeating unit of monosaccharide. Polysaccharide is subdivided into two major area based on its functionality, as Storage polysaccharide and Structural polysaccharide. The major difference of this two types is based on the orientation of each monosaccharide to other monosaccharide. It is indeed the linkage that made each type unique from each other despite in some cases that the monosaccharide might be the same for both the two types.
