if one nucleotide within the DNA strand where changed it would provide the wrong information what other macromolecule would be affected by this change

    The macromolecule that would be affected by this is a protein. The reason it is a protein is because after DNA is transcribed to RNA, RNA has to be translated to a protein through a chain of amino acids.
