What might happen if cell membranes did not have pores?

    If pores didn't exist the cell would die eventually. Pores are present in the cell membrane and allow substances to come inside the cell, like oxygen, water, glucose, ions, substances that are very important to make the cell function. Plus, other substances that result from the metabolism of the cell need to be expelled, and they go through those pores.
