What can be transferred between objects?

For my reading it says "kinetic energy is transferred as the hot and cold liquid mix" and "Heat refers to the thermal energy that is transferred between two objects"

    Only heat can be transferred from one object to another object by the means of conduction, convection and radiation. Even if the energy is being transferred by kinetic energy that is also in the form of heat. This can simply be understood by taking the example of two balls say one ball is stationary and other one is moving, the particles inside the moving ball is having high kinetic energy as compared to that of stationary and when the both the balls colloid the energy is transferred in the form of heat and the other ball which was at stationary starts moving.

    So, ultimately heat is transferred between objects.
