    Answer: atmosphere

Volcanic eruption refers to an event when the hot magma comes out from the earth crust, in the form of a hot lava. This occurs due to the heat and pressure being developing inside the mantle of the earth. It erupts with a explosion of gases like carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and sulphur dioxide, which are directly released into the air and pollute the atmosphere. The hot lava will also disturb the growth of living species like plants, trees, animals and other. All these living species are the part of biosphere.

Therefore, atmosphere and biosphere are affected.
