If you lined up TMV (tobacco mosaic virus) particles end to end, how many would fit along the length of the same paperclip? the paperclip is a length of 3.0 cm.

    Explanation:

    Length of one TMV is 300nm. Length of paper clip is 3.0cm. First step is to convert either value to match the units of other.

    So 3.0cm to nm is 3.0 * 10^7 = 30,000,000nm

    SO now it becomes simple because we just divide the total length by length of TMV to find number of particles that can fit:

    30,000,000/300 = 100,000 TMV
