B Information is obtained through observations and experimentation

    Explanation:

A scientific investigation starts with an observation. An observation of a natural phenomena and that is how a hypothesis forms. So technically, the first bits of information is from observation.

When a hypothesis is formed, it is then tested to determine whether it will hold true or not. It is tested through an experiment. Throughout the experiment, data is still going to be obtained through observation. Changes and constants will be observed to see whether the hypothesis still stands.

Also, depending on the approach or method chosen to pursue the study, observation will serve an integral part of the study. (i. e. case studies).
