How is the population size affected by limiting factors?

Population control, or a limitation on how many children you are allowed to conceive, significantly affects the population number by lowering it. Also, factors such as social pressure can be a determining factor as well. If you have more than the "normal" amount of kids, or whatever is considered "normal" in a community can cause gossip, rumors, and eventually, the rumors will take over a person and he or she will not want to be viewed as a "freak" and will most likely want to stop conceiving children, causing the population to lower.

Limiting factors are resources or factors in the environment that can lower the rate of population growth. Limiting factors can lower birth rates, increase death rates, or lead to emigration by shortage of food leading to competition and death of the weaks ones, lack of water leading to dehydration.
