Describe the positive or negative impacts eco-friendly technologies could have on our cryosphere, biodiversity, and human populations.

There are several eco-friendly techniques such as solar power plants, hydroelectric power plants, geotheraml enegy and wind turbines et-cetra, which have positive and negative both the impacts on environment that includes cryosphere, biodiversity, and human populations.

Positive impacts:

Hydropower plant (energy generated from water) is clean energy source and do not cause any air pollution and is a domestic source of energy, so each state can produce their own energy. Wind turbines (energy generated from wind) are also clean energy source, do not cause any pollution, a renewable source of energy and provide power to remote locations. Geothermal enetgy (energy generated through earth's internal heat) is environmet friendly source and better then conventional fuel sources as it does not require fuel, have high potential and sustainable.

Negative impacts:

Hydroelectric power plants are built by construction of dams and roads at water sites which affect the water habitat and also the destroys the nearby home of people. it affects the water flows in river and causes drought. installation of Wind turbines allows posses threat to birds because of their heights and produces lots of noise that disturb the human population nearby. It can affect the flow of wind which indirectly affect the climate or weather at cryosphere and allows melting of ice. Geothermal energy can cause cause earthquakes, nois pollution and destroy the native biodiversity. Geotheraml energy utilises heat inside the earth surface that affects the internal plates of earth of earth which disturbes the whole earth surface including cryosphere.

Hence, eco-friendly technologies have pros and cons both as mentioned above.
