Type O, while the blood type of Mr. Johnson has Type A blood. The lawyer claims that Mr. Johnson cannot be the father of a child with Type O blood. Is the attorney right? Why or why not? Explain your answer.

    The attorney is incorrect. Anyone with type A or B can give birth to a child with Type O, since the O gene is recessive. It is highly possible that Mr. Johnson can be A (O) Type blood and "Mrs. Johnson" can be either A (O) or B (O) type. Both parents could have given their child O genes causing the child to be Type O.
