    The cortex or cerebrum is the biggest segment of the human brain, related to higher functions like action and thought. The cerebrum controls speech, voluntary movement, emotion, intelligence, memory, and sensory processing.

    In case, due to head injury, if cerebrum gets affected, then it may result in loss of senses, personality disorders, or trouble with learning and thinking. Thus, an injury to head affecting cerebrum could result in the loss of senses and impaired speech.
