    A similarity between Cytokinesis and Mitosis is that they're both a part of cell division.

    For instance, mitosis is a process where the duplicated genome in a cell is separated into halves that are identical in nature, and Cytokinesis is the process where the cytoplasm of the cell divides to form two 'daughter' cells.

    They both divide.

    How they're different;

    In mitosis the nucleus divides

    In cytokinesis the cytoplasm divides

    Mitosis and cytokinesis are two different things. Mitosis is the division of a eukaryotic cell nucleus. Cytokinesis is division of the cytoplasm that begins toward the end of mitosis. They both ultimately play important roles in cell division, but neither one in and of itself is cell division.
