    The entry of bile and pancreatic juice into the duodenum is controlled by a valve that is muscular known as the hepatopancreatic sphincter. Also called as the sphincter of Oddi. It is located at the intersection of the pancreatic ducts and the bile. It functions to regulate the flow of pancreatic juices and bile. Also, to prevent reflux of the duodenal contents into the system of the pancreatobiliary.
