If a genetic error occurred, resulting in each liver cell in a person having only 1,000 insulin receptors, what specific effect would this have on the liver cells?

    If a person had only 1000 insulin receptors in each liver cell instead of the usual 90,000 or more, the person would not be able to take in or absorb the normal amount of insulin, store glucose as efficiently, or regulate blood sugar levels as efficiently.
