Why is a reducing atmosphere conducive to the origin of life? It is devoid of organic molecules. It is rich in free oxygen. It is more favorable for the development of organic molecules. It is very similar to today's atmosphere.

They concluded that the reduction processes in a reduced atmosphere favor the production of organic molecules and probably this reduced atmosphere had set the stage for life back then.
