The son of a professional basketball player is a star player on his high school basketball team. Which statement best describes the son's ability?     The statement that best describes the son's ability is the first one - the environment in which he has grown up has increased his inherited ability. He inherited the ability to be great at basketball from his father, who is himself a professional basketball player. On top of that, that ability has only become stronger with the environment the son is living in - his immediate environment is his father, who must have been training with his son to make him better as well.
