    Plant cells contain chloroplast which contain a light trapping pigment chlorophyll. Inside the chloroplast are organelles that functions the work of the chloroplasts. These are stroma, chlorophyll, thylakoid. Stroma is the aqueous space that surrounds the chlorophyll containing membrane of the chloroplast.
