    The solar, wind, and geothermal power are part of the so called renewable energy sources. The reason why they bear the term renewable is that they are natural sources of energy that are continuously replenished without any human intervention.

    They do tend to have periodic variations though in their productivity. In certain parts of the year there is more sun hours than in other parts of the year, the wind intensity also varies from period to period, as well as the geothermal power that is dependent on the geological activity and how intense it is.

    These energy sources, apart from being driven by the forces of nature and are constantly present, they are also much more environment friendly as they are not polluting at all, or the pollution is very minimal.
