    Explanation:

    Fermentation usually occurs in anaerobic environment and converts sugars to ethanol and carbon dioxide. When there is oxygen availability aerobic respiration dominates fermentation. There are some exceptions to this as well.

    In fermentation NADH reacts with an electron acceptor like pyruvate formed after glycolysis and the products formed are NAD + and organic products like ethanol, carbon dioxide, lactic acid, hydrogen gas etc.

    Aerobic respiration uses oxygen molecules to derive energy. Fermentation produces 2 ATP and aerobic respiration produces 38 ATP.
