Step one you should have a clean slide and coverslip, step two is you place ONE drop of water in the middle of the slide, step three place the edge of a cover slip on one side of the water drop, step four cover the slip on top of the drop at a fourty five degree angle, step five place the slide on the stage and view it at first with the red banded objective, you can rotate the nosepiece to view the slide with different objectives.
