Why is aerobic respiration more beneficial than anaerobic respiration?

Aerobic respiration can take place with and without oxygen present, but anaerobic respiration can only take place in the absences of oxygen

Aerobic respiration is quicker than anaerobic respiration

Aerobic respiration only takes place in the presence of oxygen, therefore it can fully breakdown glucose and produce much more ATP than anaerobic respiration

    Aerobic respiration takes place in the presence of oxygen while anaerobic respiration occurs without oxygen. Furthermore, the amount of energy release or ATP produced in aerobic respiration more when compared with anaerobic respiration. Thus, the presence of oxygen in aerobic respiration breaks down glucose all the way to carbon dioxide which release enough energy and produce 38 molecules of ATP while in anaerobic respiration, glucose is broken down to produce just 2 molecules of ATP.
