When encountering another vessel in darkness or reduced visibility, what do visible red and green lights indicate

    Visible red and green lights indicates that the vessel is approaching a sailboat head-on collision. To avoid collision, navigation lights are installed to vessels to give signal to other vessels and it also indicates and determine the angle or position of the vessel. This navigation lights are also known as the position lights.
