    Insertion mutations are defined as mutations that lead to addition of one or more nucleotide bases in a DNA sequence. These mutations are also known as frame-shift mutations as these mutations change the codon sequence of DNA fragment, in which they occur.

    In option D). an extra adenine base (at 3rd position) is added in the sequence and in option E). two extra bases, thymine and guanine (at 7th and 9th position respectively) are added in sequence.

    Thus, out of the given options, DNA sequences in options D). and E). show insertion mutation.
