    Medulla is the part of the brain contains the cardiac control center. Its main function is to control cardiac and respiratory actions and to mediate involuntary actions like breathing, beating of the heart and blood pressure. It also functions as regulator of reflexes such as coughing, sneezing, swallowing and vomiting.
