In short, Cellular Respiration can be considered spontaneous because it releases energy (negative enthalpy) and becomes disordered (positive entropy)

A spontaneous reaction is a decrease in enthalpy ans an increase in entropy.

Entropy is energy release from a system when an event takes place.

The purpose of cellular respiration is to release energy from glucose so that organisms can use that energy.
