    Answer and explanation; There are 12 atoms of hydrogen in water equivalent to 12 hydrogen atoms in the glucose molecule. During cellular respiration the cells break down glucose and other molecules from food in the presence of oxygen, releasing energy in the form of ATP. The equation for the cellular respiration is;

    C6 H12O6 + 6O2 - -> 6CO2 + 6H2O + ATP.

    From the equation one glucose molecule is broken in presence of six oxygen molecules to yield six carbon dioxide molecules and six water molecules, and the reaction yields energy in the form of ATP.
