In other cases, those species can live in different places even when they share similar characteristics. This process is represented by allopatry and sympatry, the first one refers to those species that live in different zones and have similar characteristics while the second one, refers to those species that share territories and also characteristics. One example of this statement, can be two species of mice that live in Eurasia and África, they share borders in those territories and belong to different species but, were born with some similar characteristics such as hair or whiskers because they are rodents although they possess a different morphology. Finally, Character displacement can be found in plants or animals, so it is not restricted just to animals.
