How are mitochondria similar to chloroplasts?

    They both have their own DNA Thayne's independent to the organisms DNA. They are also similar in the way that Mitochondria play a major role in ATP synthesis (often referred to as the energy power house if the cell) while chloroplast aid in photosynthesis in plants to produce sugar (also energy).
