    I wonder who makes these questions sometimes. It can also be proven false.

    I guess you should answer true, but I'd be careful about what the accepted answer is. A hypothesis can be proven true. If you were going to try and prove that rain water is part of the water cycle, you could devise a test that would show it to be true.

    It is based on an educated guess and it is a flat statement, not a question.

    Rainwater is part of the water cycle.

    Would be an example.

    A hypothesis can indeed be proven true because the data collected to support the hypothesis is used to determine if it's correct or false.
