step onestep twostep threestep four step five Once the protein is made, the gene for a particular trait is expressed.

step onestep twostep threestep four step five mRNA joins the ribosome, and the anticodons from tRNA join mRNA to form a chain of amino acids.

The synthesis of protein occurs in two basic steps: transcription and translation.

During transcription, the information encoded in DNA is reproduce in mRNA and the mRNA moves out of the cell nucleus into the cytoplasm.

Translation is divided into four steps:

    1. Activation:RNA together with ribosome and tRAN mobilize free amino acids into the ribosome.

    2. Elongation: during this stage, anticodon of tRNA recognises the codon of mRNA

    3. Termination: termination of elongation is signals by the terminal codon in the mRNA.

    4. Translocation of protein: in this stage, completed proteins are released into the cytoplasm.
