Coma, anxiety, confusion, convulsions, nightmares while asleep

A glucose level like 45 mg/dl indicates very low glucose in the blood and if not treated quickly, leads to unconsciousness and even death. This is also known as severe hypoglycemia and can lead to such extreme symptoms because there isn't enough glucose to feed the neurons.
