How are both types of fermentation used in the food and beverage industry?

    Answer: Two of the most important and commonly used types are ethanol/alcoholic fermentation and lactic acid fermentation. Ethanol fermentation is used in the production of alcoholic beverages. Lactic acid fermentation is used to flavor or preserve dairy and vegetables.
