What is the main difference between a tundra and grassland?

    A tundra is a vast, flat, treeless Arctic region of Europe, Asia, and North America in which the subsoil is permanently frozen. Grass lands are a large open area of country covered with grass (like the name suggests).

    I think, tundra receives small amount of rain while grassland receives month long rain.
