Does DNA repilcation take place in the same direction along both strands of the DNA molecule that is being replaced? EXplain your answer.

    No, both strands are replicated in opposite directions, which gives rise to the name " leading " and " lagging " strands as one strand is replicated faster than the other. DNA is replicated only from 5' to 3' so only one strand can be replicated in the 5' to 3' continously (leading) while the other is in the opoosite direction. u probably wont understand this mechanism easily through words so i suggest u watch a video on youtube if u still dont get it!
