Do birds and insects share any structural similarities that would suggest they are closely related?

    yes, bird have wings, and so do insects, as well as some birds communicate with each other, as do some insects, and although this may not be similar to each other, they are very interesting, that the birds feathers are actually heavier than there feathers, because their bones are hollow, and insects have an exoskeleton, so basically, they both have interesting bone features
