Name the starting molecule from which cdna is synthesized and the enzyme that does the synthesis.

    cDNA stands for complementary DNA. The starting material from which it is synthesized from is a single-stranded RNA template, such as mRNA or microRNA. The enzyme that carries out this reaction is reverse transcriptase in a process known as reverse transcription.
