The correct answer is beta interferon.

Beta interferons 1-α are the cytokine used to treat multiple sclerosis (MS). Those interferons can reduce the inflammation that damages nerves in MS. So, they are not a cure for MS but it is for sure that can slow the progress of the disease if started early and continued for the duration of the disease.
