What occurs when molecules move into a cell by fusing with the membrane

Facilitated Diffusion is a process for molecules that cannot be readily diffused through cell membranes. Such molecules may be too large to pass through the pores in the membrane. The movement of these kinds of molecules across the cell membrane is assisted by proteins known as Carrier proteins.
