How many mitochondria does an average human muscle contain?

    An average human muscle contain between seven hundred and fifty to one thousand mitochondria per cell. Mitochondria is the organelle of the cell that carry out the process of cellular respiration, it takes nutrients from the cells, metabolite them and convert them to energy.
