How are the cell cycle and cell division related to growth, development, and maintenance of the organism?

    Because cell divide to grow reproduce and replace the purpose of cell division in mitosis is for growth of the body I. e somatic cells (cells that are not required for reproduction) replacement of worn out cells and tissue and replication of damage cells while miotic cell division involve the production of gamete for reproductive purpose and transfer of genetic material from one generation to another and after each cell cycle of cell division replacement reproduction and enlargement take place in the body of an organism
