The aorta from the heart supplies oxygenated blood to the body, divide into two coronary arteries, which supplies the blood to the muscles of heart. The person, who suffers from the coronary heart disease gets a waxy deposition in the coronary arteries. This deposition hampers the supply of blood to the heart.

This will affect the functioning of heart as proper supply for efficient pumping has not met. The person when take rest, the supply to the heart is met. So, he is having a partially blocked coronary artery. In case, the proper treatment is not taken, waxy deposition increases and coronary artery no longer functions. This may lead to heart attack.
