How does recombinant technology promote gene therapy?

    Recombinant DNA is the incorporation of foreign DNA into the genome of an organism so that it has artificially modified characteristics. The laboratory technique has applications in gene therapy through the replacement of abnormal genes with normal ones to treat a disorder or disease.
