What component of tea is responsible for its effect on iron absorption? ?

    For the answer to the question above, I believe that the component of tea is responsible for its effect on iron absorption is "Tannic Acid".

    It is a pol ymer of gallic acid molecules and glucose. It the example there are 3 gallic acid molecules, but normally there are about 8.
