This is false. Genetically-modified foods have been modified to have certain desirable traits, such as drought-resistant corn. These food sources remain completely organic and non-toxic. It must be considered that humans have been genetically altering crop and animal species for thousands of years through selection of desirable traits. Consider for example that modern corn looks nothing like the original corn species would have looked before domestication and mass agriculture. Modern genetic modification techniques have sped up and refined this process by honing in on specific desirable traits and also transferring genotypes from one organism to another. Therefore, the health of the food does not depend on whether the food is GM or not.
