    Hypotonic solution

    Explanation:

    If the solution is lower in concentration in comparison to the cytoplasm of the cell, then water will move from the solution into the cell by osmosis. This means the solution is hypotonic to the cell protoplasm The cell will, therefore, swell and if osmotic equilibrium is not reached in time, the water pressure inside the cell will become too high for the cell to contain and it will lyse.
