When brown iodine is exposed to starch it turns dark purple. In an experiment, you placed a cornstarch and glucose solution within a small plastic bag. Next, you placed the bag in a beaker with water and 10 drops of iodine. After 10 minutes, the solution in the bag turned dark purple and glucose could be found in the iodine water within the beaker. a. the plastic bag was permeable to cornstarch.
