    Desert plants are usually adapted for living successfully in the desert. The adaptations can include the presence of waxy coating on the leaves. The fictions of the waxy coat include the following: it reduces the water loss by the plants through evaporation, the cuticle protects the leave surface and it also insulates against heat.
