A varicocele may hinder blood flow through the pampiniform venous plexus; the reduced venous drainage and the resulting elevated testicular temperature may be caused by defective venous valves in the testis.

    Explanation:

The pampiniform plexus refers to the venous network that surrounds the sperm duct, it's responsible for lowering/reducing the temperature of arterial blood on its way to the testicles, that is, through these veins the blood drainage of the testicles is performed, in its traveled outside the testicle, they join together to form a single one (spermatic vein), which lead to: The one on the left side, in the renal vein; and the one on the right side, in the lower cellar. Varicocele is the abnormal dilation and tortuosity of the pampiniform veins. This results may hinder blood flow through the pampiniform plexus that causes increased pressures and, ultimately, damage to the testicular tissue.
