Name the sporozoans responsible for the greatest number of human deaths. What disease does it cause and how it is transmitted?

    The sporozoan that cause malaria is plasmodium and they are sinlge celled parasite. There are four spcies of plasmodium that cause malaria diseases in human namely: P. malariae, P. vivax, P. ovale. and P. falciparum. They are transmitted by mosquitoes where the plasmodium multiplies in the liver and then invades the red blood cells.

    The answer is genus plasmodium. There are diferent species under the genus including falciparum, vivax, malariae, and knowlesi. The most common is P. malariae and is the cause of Malaria that is the cause of most deaths among young children and pregnant mothers in developing countries.
