Which treatment will best prevent complications associated with the infection?

The best treatment would be cleaning the cut. If you use rubbing acohol the cut would be cleaned form the germs around the cut. After cleaning the cut cover the cut with some sort of tight material to stop an infection. Also picking at the cut my cause infection so don't pick at a scab.
